SERVICING YOUR HONDA TRIMMER
9. When you have about 6 inches (150 mm) of
line remaining, press the lines into the two
notches on the bottom of the spool as shown.
This will hold the line on the spool for
reassembly.
10. Guide the ends of the lines through the metal
eyelets on the drum. Push the spool into the
drum, but be careful not to let any line get
trapped outside the edges of the spool.

Hold the drum and spool firmly, then pull each
NYLON LINE
line until you hear it snap out of the notch. It is
okay if one line is longer than the other. Once
each line has snapped out, press the spool all
the way into the drum.
12. If you're not sure the line snapped out of the
notch, carefully pull the spool away from the
drum and inspect the line.
13. Slide the drum/spool assembly back on to the
the drive bolt, then install the spring. Hand
tighten the three-sided knob as tight as you
can.
