Clear a paper jam
Introduction
If a paper jam occurs in the ADF, the operator panel display a message that indicates the
paper jam. Follow the instructions on the operator panel and the procedure described
below to solve the paper jam.
Warning:
When you remove jammed originals or paper, take care not to cut your hands on the
edges of the originals or paper.

Action
Remove the originals from the origi-
nals tray.
Pull the lever and open the ADF
cover.
Remove any jammed originals.
Note:
If it is difficult to remove
jammed paper, do not try to
remove it by force, but pro-
ceed to step 4.
