Computer feet

The computer feet (not illustrated) are adhesive-backed rubber pads. The feet are included in the
base enclosure spare part kit, spare part number 688765-001. The rubber feet that attach to the base
enclosure in the locations illustrated below.

8-cell, Li-ion 2.8 Ah (75 WHr)
8-cell, Li-ion 2.8 Ah (83 WHr)
9–cell, Li-ion 3.0 Ah (100 WHr)
9–cell, Li-ion 2.2 Ah (73 WHr)
Before disassembling the computer, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet
and then unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
Remove the battery:
1. Position the computer upside down on a flat surface, with the front toward you.
2. Slide the battery release latch to the left (1) to release the battery.
3. Pivot the battery (2) upward and lift it out of the computer (3).
Install the battery by inserting it into the battery bay until you hear a click.
