INDEX SEARCH/ALARM INDEX SEARCH

Index signals are automatically written to the HDD at the start point of each
recording. It is possible to search these signals and start playback from such
index point.
There are 2 types of index search:
• <INDEX SEARCH>: Searches the index signal written during normal record-
ing.
• <ALARM INDEX SEARCH>: Searches the index signal written during alarm
recording or emergency recording.
Up to 99 index signals can be searched in forward or reverse direction.
How index signals are counted for <INDEX SEARCH> and <ALARM IN-
DEX SEARCH>
INDEX COUNT
(
): Normal recording for INDEX SEARCH. Alarm recording or emergency
recording for ALARM INDEX SEARCH.
1. Press the SEARCH button.
• The search screen selected in "SEARCH TYPE" appears.
"SELECTION CAMERA NUMBER" setting does not appear when
"INDEX" is selected.
2. (When the desired search screen is not displayed on the screen • • • )
Change the "SEARCH TYPE" setting to "INDEX" or "ALARM INDEX." And then
press the CLEAR button to display <INDEX SEARCH> screen or <ALARM INDEX
SEARCH> screen.
• When searching index signals which are written during normal recording, display
the <INDEX SEARCH> screen.
• When searching index signals which are written during alarm recording or
emergency recording, display the <ALARM INDEX SEARCH> screen.
• After executing INDEX SEARCH or ALARM INDEX SEARCH:
• For INDEX SEARCH, SPLIT4 screen display is displayed.
• For ALARM INDEX SEARCH, SPLIT4 screen display is displayed when
"SELECTION CAMERA NUMBER" is set to "ALL." Single screen display with
still frame playback is displayed when selecting the individual camera
number.
The camera number of which the start index signal of the pre-alarm
recording is written may differ from the camera number displayed in the
alarm list.
3. Display the desired setting in "INDEX" and press the ENTER button.
4. Select "EXECUTE(FORWARD)" or "EXECUTE(REVERSE)" and press the
ENTER button.
• "EXECUTE (FORWARD)": Searches in the forward direction.
• "EXECUTE (REVERSE)": Searches in the reverse direction.
• To cancel searching, press the SEARCH button twice.
• The search is not executed if there is no index signal. To return to the normal
screen, press the SEARCH button twice.
5. Playback the search result.
• Press the PLAY (,REV. P) or PAUSE button.
