Disconnect power before servicing.
Replace all parts and panels before operating.
Failure to do so can result in death or electrical shock.

FLAME SENSOR

Refer to page 4-14 for the procedure for ac-
cessing the flame sensor.
1.
Unplug dryer or disconnect power.
2.
Turn off gas supply to dryer.
3.
Disconnect the wire connectors from the
flame sensor terminals.
4.
Set the ohmmeter to the R X 1 scale.
5.
Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the
flame sensor terminals. The meter should
indicate a closed circuit (0 Ω).

HIGH-LIMIT THERMOSTAT &
THERMAL CUTOFF
(GAS DRYERS ONLY)
Refer to page 4-14 for the procedure for ac-
cessing the high-limit thermostat or thermal
cutoff.
The thermal cutoff is a non-resettable device.
The cutoff temperature is 178°C (352°F).
1.
Unplug dryer or disconnect power.
2.
Turn off gas supply to dryer.
3.
Disconnect the wire connectors from the
high-limit thermostat and thermal cutoff
terminals.
4.
Set the ohmmeter to the R X 1 scale.
5.
Touch the ohmmeter test leads to the
high-limit thermostat or thermal cutoff
terminals. The meter should indicate a
closed circuit (0 Ω).
