5. Disconnect the following signal cables from the signal cable connectors on the backplane for server
models with 12 3.5-inch hard disk drive bays.
• Signal cable for the front controls and LEDs on the right rack handle
• Signal cable for the front USB connectors on the left rack handle

6. On each side of the server, remove the screw that secures the rack handle and then remove the rack
handle from the chassis.
Note: Carefully pull the signal cable of each rack handle out of the hole in the chassis when you are
removing the rack handles.

7. To reinstall the rack handles for server models with 12 3.5-inch hard disk drive bays, do the following:
