32 Press the bin release button, and hold it down.
33 Grip the bin handle, and pull the bin up and out of the cleaner.
34 When the bin is clear of the cleaner, you may let the bin release button go.
35 Lower the bin into your dustbin so the bottom of the bin is below the rim – this'll prevent the
dust dispersing into your environment.
36 Press the latch, to open the bottom of the bin, and dump its contents into the dustbin.
37 Turn the agitator on top of the bin twice clockwise, then twice anti-clockwise.
38 This agitates the inside of the HEPA filter, releasing any dust that might be held in its folds
39 Lift the bottom of the bin up to close it.

40 While emptying the bin, check the filters – blocked filters quickly reduce suction.
41 You can see the mesh filter through the side of the bin. You should be able to see the HEPA
filter through the mesh filter.
42 If either filter looks clogged or dirty, or if you can't see the HEPA filter clearly, it's time to clean
both filters – jump to point 53 below.
43 If they don't need cleaning, replace the bin in the cleaner – put the bottom in first, then push
the top home. You'll hear the locks click into place.
44 Give it a tug to check that its secure.
45 Push the hose end into the inlet above the bin handle.

46 Switch the cleaner off and unplug it before cleaning.
47 Don't put any part of the cleaner in a dishwasher.
48 Don't use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
49 Wipe external surfaces with a damp cloth. A dab of washing-up liquid will remove stubborn
stains, but clean it off afterwards, or it may stain.
50 Wipe the tools with a damp cloth, or hand wash in warm soapy water. Rinse to remove any
trace of soap, and air dry before using.
51 Wipe the extendable tube and hose with a damp cloth. Use a dab of washing-up liquid to
remove any stubborn marks. Remove all trace of the washing-up liquid, and check they're dry
before refitting. Don't put them in water, you'll damage them.
52 Wash the bin in warm soapy water. Use a soft cloth or sponge, nothing harsh. Rinse to
remove all trace of soap and air dry. Don't replace it till it's fully dry.

53 Spread out some newspaper – you're going to make a mess.
54 Grip the bin handle with one hand, grip the inlet with the other, and turn the lid of the bin to
move the | mark on the lid from the L mark on the bin round to the U mark.
55 Lift the lid and filter assembly out of the bin, and turn them upside down.
56 Turn the filter assembly clockwise, to unlock it, and lift it off, to expose the HEPA filter.
57 Lift the HEPA filter up and out of the lid.
