Cleaning the vacuum cleaner

44. Switch the cleaner off and unplug it before cleaning.
45. Don't put any part of the cleaner in a dishwasher.
46. Don't use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
47. Wipe external surfaces with a damp cloth. A dab of washing-up liquid will
remove stubborn stains.
48. Wipe the tools with a damp cloth or hand wash in warm soapy water.
Rinse to remove any trace of soap and air dry before using.
49. Wipe the extendable tube and hose with a damp cloth. Check they're dry
before refitting. Don't put them in water, you'll damage them.
50. Wash the bin in warm soapy water with a soft cloth or sponge. Rinse to remove
all traces of soap and air dry. Don't replace until fully dry.

Cleaning the filters

51. Make sure the space you are using is protected with an old towel or some
newspaper as this process can be messy.
52. Grip the bin lid with one hand, grip the bin with the other, and turn the lid of
the bin to move the | mark on the lid from the
53. Lift the lid and filter assembly out of the bin and turn them upside down.
54. Turn the filter assembly clockwise to unlock it and lift it off to expose the
HEPA filter.
55. Lift the HEPA filter up and out of the lid.

56. Wash the filter assembly (contains mesh filter) in warm soapy water.
57. Leave it to air dry – do NOT refit it until it's completely dry.
