    PHONE STAND The GXV3140 can also be placed on the table surface or desk via the phone stand. (See Figure 4) There are two (2) positions for the stand on the back of the phone; each position supports a different angle.

    If the user has purchased two or more GXV3140 IP Multimedia phones, these phones are able to establish video calls between each other and the user will immediately experience the plug and play nature of the GXV3140. If a user has only one GXV3140, the user can choose to Grandstream Networks, Inc.
  • Page 15 To see a short video on all the functionalities of the GXV3140, press the “Demo” softkey on the phone on the desktop. This would open the media player and play the video. The Demo key will show when the phone finishes downloading the clip from the server.

    MULTIPLE SIP ACCOUNTS AND LINES The GXV3140 supports up to 3 independent SIP accounts. Each account may have separate SIP servers, usernames and NAT configurations.     The Grandstream GXV3140 can be automatically configured from a central provisioning system. When the GXV3140 boots up, it will send TFTP or HTTP request to download the configuration file, “000b82xxxxxx.xml” and “cfg000b82xxxxxx”, where “000b82xxxxxx” is the MAC address of the GXV3140.

In addition to manually adding each phonebook entry, the GXV3140 enables users to share and maintain the phonebook (by means of a XML phonebook) through the web easily. The XML phonebook must be stored on a HTTP/TFTP server.

    Skype users on computers, mobile devices and other GXV3140 phones. To access Skype on the GXV3140, users could press F3 button underneath “Skype” in IDLE screen or select “MENU”-> “Social Networks”->”Skype”. (See Figure 31) Grandstream Networks, Inc.

To place a call to a party outside or not on the user’s current contact list, simply enter the phone number or Skype username by navigating the “Call” tab (See Figure 47).
