The process of converting analog signal into
digital data.
The frequency at which samples of sound is
taken. A higher sampling rate produces
results close to the original but it requires
more memory.
Files containing sound data. Sound files are
usually stored in four formats with .WAV,
.MID, .VOC and .CMF extensions.
