Troubleshooting Tips

There is no sound from the headset.

Check the following:

• The headset is properly connected to the headset jack.
• The headset is switched on, if required.
• The volume settings in Sound Blaster PLAY! 3 Control Panel and system audio are properly adjusted and not muted.
• The headphone is connected to the headset jack of the Sound Blaster PLAY! 3.

Generally, a 4-pole headset connector allows you to connect your headset directly to the Sound Blaster PLAY! 3. However, some headset connector has different configuration, and Sound Blaster PLAY! 3 is unable to support if the configuration is different from the connector illustrated below.

Should you be keen to connect your headset to Sound Blaster PLAY! 3, you will need to check if the configuration of its connector is compatible.
