Recovery data on the hard disk drive (in the mirroring mode)

When one of the two hard disk drives became faulty while operating in the mirroring mode, the faulty disk can be
replaced without interrupting operation by the mirroring function (mirroring recovery).
When one of the hard disk drives became faulty, the USE button respective to the disk and the MIRROR button will
light red.
When HDD2 became faulty while recording, for example, the HDD1 button will light orange (recording is currently
being carried out) and the HDD2 button will light green (no recording is being carried out).

Remove the faulty disk. ( page 13)

Mount the new hard disk drive. ( page 13)
→ When completing the mounting process, the
USE button will start blinking green.

Hold down the FORMAT button respective
to the newly mounted hard disk drive for 5
seconds or more.
→ Mirroring recovery will start. (The buzzer will
start sounding and the FORMAT button and the
MIRROR indicator will start blinking green.)
When completing the mirroring recovery, the
FORMAT button will go off and the MIRROR
indicator will light green.
