    Up to 16 cameras can be connected via a network and it is possible to record their camera pictures. It is possible to perform the settings or operate the WJ-ND200 (this unit) using a web browser installed on a PC connected to a net- work.

    Reader is not installed on the PC, download the latest Adobe Reader from the Adobe web site and install it. "ND200" shown in the illustrations used in these operating instructions indicate this unit or the WJ-ND200.     Recording/Playback/Live Image Transmission Recording Images will be transmitted from cameras to this unit and will be recorded. Images from up to 16 cameras can be recorded on a single network disk recorder. Recorded images are compliant with the JPEG/M-JPEG and MPEG-4 format.

    Restrictions when operating MPEG-4 images There are following restrictions when "MPEG-4" is selected for the image compression method on the setup menu ("NW camera setup" under "Camera"). Refer to the setup instructions (PDF) for how to edit the settings. 1.     Important: • When the USE button of the hard disk on which recording is currently being performed is held down for 2 sec- onds or more while operating the unit in the single mode, recording will be continued on the other disk. In this case, some images to be recorded may not be recorded (for several seconds to change the disk for recording).

    Recovery data on the hard disk drive (in the mirroring mode) When one of the two hard disk drives became faulty while operating in the mirroring mode, the faulty disk can be replaced without interrupting operation by the mirroring function (mirroring recovery). When one of the hard disk drives became faulty, the USE button respective to the disk and the MIRROR button will light red.
  • Page 16 Important: • Mirroring recovery will not start if the FORMAT button respective to the normal disk (that is not the one replaced) is held down after mounting the new disk. • Mirroring recovery will be canceled when the FORMAT button respective to the newly mounted disk is held down for 5 seconds or more in the process of the mirroring recovery.

    Control Cameras When displaying live images, the following camera controls are possible. Panning/tilting: Moves a camera horizontally/vertically. Zooming: Zooms in/out of images. Focus: Adjusts the focus. Brightness: Adjusts the brightness. Preset action: Moves a camera to the preset position registered in advance. Auto: Moves a camera with an auto function set in advance.

    Zoom/Focus/Brightness Operations Zooming: Zooms in/out of images. Depending on the models of the connected cameras, the image size for the respective zooming portion may be different. For further information, refer to the operating instructions of the camera. Focus adjustment: Adjusts the focus. The auto focus function is available. Brightness: Adjusts the brightness.
