Low Voltage Battery

Auxiliary Battery

The RAV4 EV contains a sealed lead-acid 12 Volt battery. This 12 Volt
auxiliary battery powers the vehicle electrical system similar to a
conventional vehicle. As with other conventional vehicles, the negative
terminal of the auxiliary battery is grounded to the metal chassis of the
vehicle.

The auxiliary battery is located in the motor compartment.
NOTE:
An under hood label shows the location of the EV battery assembly
(traction battery) and 12 Volt auxiliary battery.
