    Make sure the CD drive’s door is completely shut. • Open Windows Explorer and double-click the icon for your CD-ROM drive. From the list of files on the CD, double-click the file named START32.EXE. 3. On the installation menu, select Install Products. DocuMate 272 Scanner User’s Guide...

  • Page 13 13. Choose the option you want. Full Feature Install—This is the recommended installation. It installs the Xerox One Touch 4.0 software that provides the necessary driver software for the scanner’s buttons. It also installs scanning interfaces for Twain, Microsoft’s Windows Image Acquisition, and the ISIS driver.

If you accept the terms, select I Agree, and click Next. During installation of the Full Feature Install you will see this window asking you to select one of the images for your Color Space setting.

  • Page 16 TWAIN only—The TWAIN driver is installed, but the ISIS driver is not. One Touch 4.0 Service will not run and you can only use the “Xerox DocuMate 272” TWAIN driver. You will not be able to use the Kofax TWAIN driver, or use WIA.

    Scanning Scanning Your Xerox DocuMate 272 scanner scans paper documents placed in the Document Feeder, as well as medical cards and credit cards placed in the Card Reader. To scan documents, photos, magazine articles, business cards, and other paper items, use the Document Feeder.
