ENGINE OPERATION
If the recoil starter fails to operate
Remove the top cowl and the recoil
starter.

Loosen the three bolts (A,B,C)
fastening the tank. (Don't remove
the tank fastening bolts.)

Remove the three bolts (D,E,F)

fastening the recoil starter.

Remove the recoil starter.

Tighten the three bolts (A,B,C)
fastening the tank and one bolt (D)
fastening the recoil starter.
Confirm that the shift lever is at
Neutral (N) position.
Wrap a rope around the starter
pulley then pull quickly to start.
Use a 10 mm socket wrench as a
rope handle.
Reinstall top cowl after engine
starts.
