Basic adjustment settings (Digital)

Digital Output

This function allows you to select your favourite audio
output system.
Press MENU and the MENU screen displays.

PCM The optical output format is normally in
PCM.
Dolby Digital Dolby Digital audio will be output when
there is a Dolby Digital audio signal. The
output will be in PCM when there is no
Dolby Digital audio signal.
Using Digital Audio Output
It is possible to output audio through the DIGITAL
AUDIO OUTPUT terminal. PCM audio outputs from the
terminal.

Description
NOTE
• The DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT terminal outputs only D-TV
audio.
• When you are watching a programme on Analogue TV
or images from external equipment, audio from the D-TV
channels still outputs from the DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT
terminal.
• The DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT terminal usually outputs the
same audio from the speakers. (The audio of the content
you are viewing is output from the terminal.)
• The DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUT terminal does not output
some signals, depending on devices and software.
Multilingual
You can select a different audio language when the
broadcast has different audio language.
Using MPX on the remote control.
Press MPX.

Press a / b to select your desired audio

Selected item
Language You can enjoy Dolby Digital audio. Outputs
(Dolby D) Dolby Digital audio from the digital output.
Language 1 You can enjoy Mpeg audio. Outputs PCM
(Mpeg) audio from the digital output regardless of
the "Digital Output" setting.
If the select Mpeg Audio is "Stereo" or "Dual"

then the Audio Select Option is available.
