Playing back a tape
In the various playback modes
• Noise may appear when your camcorder plays back tapes recorded in the Hi8/
standard 8 system.
• Sound is muted.
• The previous recording may appear as a mosaic image when playing back in the
Digital8
Notes on the playback pause mode
• When the playback pause mode lasts for 3 minutes, your camcorder automatically
enters the stop mode. To resume playback, press N.
• The previous recording may appear.
Slow playback for tapes recorded in the Digital8
The slow playback can be performed smoothly on your camcorder; however, this
function does not work for an output signal from the DV IN/OUT jack.
When you play back a tape in reverse
Horizontal noise may appear at the center or top and bottom of the screen. This is not a
malfunction.
