Displays
The display is dim.
The recording time display, the
dubbing process display and the
displayed recording time of MP3
are different from the actual time.
The actual remaining capacity is
less than the value on the display
or the screen.
Play
Play fails to start even when [1] is
pressed.
Play starts but then stops
immediately.
"NO READ", "UNSUPPORT",
"NO DISC", or "NO PLAY" appears
on the unit's display.
No response when buttons
pressed.
A title or chapter doesn't play when
it is selected.
Picture distorted during search.
Alternative soundtrack and
subtitles cannot be selected.
Soundtrack/subtitle language is
different from the one selected with
the SETUP menus.
No subtitles.
Angle cannot be changed.
You have forgotten your ratings

Remote control
The remote control doesn't work.
Cannot operate the TV.

Can not operate with other
equipment.
≥Go to Display in the SETUP menus and change the display's brightness with "FL
Display".
≥The time on the unit's display and the remaining recording time on the screen may be
indicated less or more than actual value.
≥The time during fast forward and rewind, or the process during dubbing may not be
displayed accurately.
≥When recording still pictures or SD VIDEO (MPEG4), the remaining capacity becomes
less than when recording other materials.
≥In DVD-R, the remaining capacity does not increase even if programmes are erased.
≥When dubbing pictures with less motions in "MPEG2#4", they may be dubbed within
small amount of capacity.
≥Insert the disc correctly with the label facing up.
≥This unit cannot play discs other than DVD-RAM, DVD-R, DVD-Audio, DVD-Video, Video
CD, CD and MP3 disc.
≥The disc is dirty. Clean it.
≥The disc may be badly scratched.
≥You inserted a blank DVD-RAM or DVD-R.
≥If " " appears on the TV, the operation is prohibited by the unit or disc.
