Braised beef with garlic
Ingredients
,
- HD4746: 800 g beef/HD4743: 300 g beef (shin or chuck steak), trimmed
- 2 tbsp Shao Shing wine
- 2 tbsp dark soy sauce
- 1 tbsp light soy sauce
- 180 g garlic cloves, peeled and chopped
- 3 tbsp. oil
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- HD4746: 800 ml stock/HD4743: 300 ml stock
- 5 spring onions, sectioned
1 Cut the beef into cubes of approx.  cm.
 Brown the beef with the garlic in a wok for about - minutes. Add the wine and stir
continuously for about 1 minute. Remove from the heat.
 Put the wok contents in the inner pot of the rice cooker. Season with salt, sugar and soy
sauces. Pour in the stock.
 Press the MENU button to select the slow cooking process. Set a cooking time of  hours.

5 Add the spring onions when the cooking process is finished.
6 Just before serving, add some dissolved corn starch to slightly thicken the sauce.

Problem
The cook/reheat light
does not go on.
Cause
There is a connection
problem.
The light is defective.
Solution
Check if the rice cooker is connected to the
mains and if the plug is inserted firmly into the
wall socket.
Take the appliance to your Philips dealer or a
service centre authorised by Philips.
