• From Search screen display, select [BACKP] button to save a backup copy of the recording using USB
HDD, or a portable hard drive such as USB memory stick. The backup files can be saved as SFX, BMP,
JPEG, or KDB (Data Base) formats.

6.1 Video Backup

[Backup mode – Video]
• First select KDB, SFX Backup mode, use the mouse or the directional keys on the system to highlight
[Backup mode], then use the mouse wheel or the [◀, ▶, I◀, ▶I ] button to change the option.
[Start Time] and [End Time]
• Select the start time and end time of the recording you wish to save.
• To change the [Start Time] and [End Time], use the mouse or the directional buttons to highlight
button, then click left mouse button or press Enter.
[Select Media]
• Select the media to be used for saving backup.
• When selecting USB or IEEE1394, the [Format] button will be initialized. Push [Format] button when you
need to format the chosen media.
[Camera]
• Select the camera number that contains the recording you wish to save.
• When saving backup in KDB format, you can select multiple camera channels.
• When saving backup in SFX format, you can only select one camera channels.
• When saving backup in Video mode, you will see
channels in Surveillance mode.

• KDB (Data Base) backup enables backup of the video with audio data. However, the other
types of backup such as BMP, JPG do not include audio.
• When the is archived to USB in KDB format the viewer software will be copied automatically
to the USB.
• SFX file is backup file format include player in a file.(EXE)
• If double click backup SFX file, backup date will play automatically.
