DIAGNOSTIC

4.1.

DIAGNOSTIC ACTIVATION FOR PC CARD VERSION

If Tintoretto is turned off and on, starts automatically the internal self test diagnostic to
understand particular problem before the normal function.
During the automatic diagnostic, the led present on the external interface follows this status:
If the led do not follow this color status, probably Tintoretto has some problems on the internal
devices.
During the connection, the led present on the external interface follows this status:
COLOR
RED
GREEN
ORANGE
The activation/disactivation status do not indicate problems inside Tintoretto.
These status permits to enable/disable only the Layer 1 connection procedure from ISDN
network to the Terminal Adapter.
4.2.

LOOP ACTIVATION

On Tintoretto, the diagnostic tests are activated using the AT commands from the terminal
emulation.

4.2.1. ANALOG LOCAL LOOP ACTIVATION

With the modem in OffLine mode, send the AT&T1 command to enable the local loop test. To
disable the local loop test send to the modem the escape sequence (+++) and the AT&T0
command.

4.2.2. DIGITAL REMOTE LOOP ACTIVATION

To activate this test, please follow these steps:
Make a connection with a remote mode
Set the escape sequence (+++) to the local modem to go in escape mode.
Send the AT&T3 command to activate the digital local loop test. All the data that you digit
to the remote DTE, pass through the ISDN network, arrive on the locel modem interface
and loop back to the remote modem.
To disable the remote loop test send to the modem the escape sequence (+++) and the
AT&T0 command. This diagnostic loop is activable only in V110 protocol (%A2=1).
