    This operating manual describes the installation procedures and the main features of the Tintoretto ISDN modem family: Tintoretto external (PC or Macintosh), Tintoretto internal ISA card (PC) and Tintoretto PCMCIA (PC or Macintosh). See the details of the installation procedure of your enviromental in the installation chapter .

    ON the power switch on the rear panel. Check that the green LED PWR indicator light is on. For the next step see the section Software Installation. 2.1.2. TINTORETTO INTERNAL ISA BUS Caution: Before removing the cover of any computer, turn-off and unplug the mains power cord.

    Make a copy of the Leonardo driver file from the Floppy Disk or the CD ROM to your hard disk in the folder Modem Script (System Folder- Extension-Modem Script). Your Tintoretto driver is present in the modem list and available for any application that uses ARA/Open Transport.

    C108 is ignored. &D1 If DTR drops while Tintoretto is on-line, the effect is the same as if the escape sequence is received, forcing Tintoretto into command mode without dropping the connection. When Tintoretto is in off- line status DTR drops are ignored.

When the DTR goes ON, the Tintoretto starts to dial the telephone number present in the number 0 location of the phonebook. When the DTR goes OFF, Tintoretto disconnect the ISDN network (only for Tintoretto external).

  • Page 23 The CALLER ID function is used to identify the originate of an incoming call. In order for this feature to work, both the originate and the answer Tintoretto must have their CALLER ID feature enable. Enabling the CALLER ID at the originate, allows the transmission of the originator’s telephone number.
  • Page 24 Tintoretto compares the received Subaddress to the stored Subaddress. If there’s a match then it answer the call, otherwise it does not. In order for this feature to work, both the originator and the receiver Tintoretto must have their Subaddres feature enable.
