Installing the device drivers

To install the device drivers in Microsoft Windows Vista and Microsoft Windows XP, complete the
following procedure:
1. Save any open documents and exit all applications.
2. Make sure the USB modem is plugged into your computer.
3. Insert the Installation and User's Guide CD into the CD/DVD drive. A welcome window opens.
4. Click Software on the left side of the window.
5. Click Install Device Drivers according to the OS type.
6. Follow the instructions in each window and click Next to continue.
7. Click Finish, and restart your computer to complete the device driver installation.
Note: You can also follow the steps below to replace the step 3 and step 4 in the above procedure.
1. On Windows desktop, click Start > Run.
2. Click Browse and navigate to your CD/DVD drive.
3. Double-click the SETUP.EXE file under the XP directory or the VISTA directory on the Installation and
User's Guide CD.
4. Click OK.

Uninstalling the device drivers

To uninstall the device drivers in Windows Vista or Windows XP, complete the following procedure:
1. On the Windows desktop, click Start > Settings > Control Panel.
2. Double-click Add/Remove Programs.
3. Click Remove, and then click USB Modem.
4. Click Yes to confirm that your want to remove the device drivers.
5. Click Yes to restart the computer.
