8. Slide the line card into the chassis until the faceplate is flush with the
front of the chassis.
9. Secure the line card to the chassis by using a Phillips screwdriver to
tighten the two installation screws on the line card faceplate.
Note
Always tighten the installation screws to secure the line card to the
chassis. Leaving a line card partially seated may cause the system to
halt and subsequently crash.
10. If you are installing a line card with a dust cover over a fiber optic
port, remove the dust cover and store it for future use.
11. Connect the appropriate cables to the line card. Refer to Table 4,
Basic Line Card Configurations
particular line card.
Figure 34 shows a twisted pair cable being inserted into an RJ-45
connector on an AT-8411 Line Card.
