    8848 AR410 Page 4 Allied Telesis Case Study: Kapiti Coast Civil Defense This location was chosen for the central point of the wireless network because of its physical location - on top of a hill, allowing line of sight wireless to all other council offices, from the Raumati main office in the south to the Otaki office/library in the north.
  • Page 5 At the KCDC's Operations Depot in Fytfield Place, and at their main site in Rimu Rd, AT-8948 switches were chosen for their OSPF routemap capabilities, to support a network design allowing for automatic failover of both voice and data traffic in the event of either network failing. A multi-Iayer IPv4 and IPv6 Switch, the AT-8948 offers performance, flexibility, and reliability.
