STARTING THE ENGINE

Never run the engine in a closed area. The
exhaust
contains
monoxide gas.
Attempting to start the engine with the
transmission in gear and the clutch
engaged may result in injury or damage.
NOTE:
1. This motorcycle can be kickstarted with
the transmission in gear by disengaging
the
clutch
kickstarter.
PREPARATION
Make sure that the transmission is in neutral.
Turn the fuel valve ON.
STARTING PROCEDURE
To restart a warm engine, follow the
procedure for "High Air Temperature."

Normal Air Temperature
10° - 35°C (50°-95°F)
1. Pull the choke lever up all the way to
"Fully Open" (A).
2. Keep the throttle closed.
3. Operate the kickstarter to start the engine.
Starting from the top of the stroke, kick
through to the bottom with a rapid,
continuous motion.
