Using 4- or 6-Channel Audio Function

The motherboard is equipped with AD1980 sound chip, which provides support for 6-channel audio
output, including 2 Front, 2 Rear, 1 Center and 1 Subwoofer channel. ALC650 allows the board to
attach 4 or 6 speakers for better surround sound effect. The section will tell you how to install and
use 4-/6-channel audio function on the board.
Attaching Speakers
To perform multichannel audio operation, connect multiple speakers to the system. You
should connect the same number of speakers as the audio channels you will select in the
software utility.

Using BACK PANEL connectors

Make sure all speakers are connected to Line Out connectors. Diverse connector configurations for
2-, 4- and 6-channel using back panel connectors are described below:

Description:
Line Out, Line In and MIC functions all exist under 2-
channel configuration.
