5. Shake the control solution vial and
discard a drop before use. Squeeze a drop
of control solution onto a clean, hard,
dry surface.
6. While holding the monitor, touch the
edge of the inserted test strip to the drop
of control solution. A short beep sounds
and the monitor begins to count down
from 5 to 1.
