User-friendly front panel controls, time and event playback search, convenient CF card function, removable Hard Disc Drive, and password protected remote network monitoring make the SLD-251 extremely versatile.

    9. Network Setup 9.1 Network DVR Setup Before using your DVR on a network, there are three things that must be identified about the type of connection you are using. Item 1 – Do you have a Static or Dynamic IP address from your ISP (Internet Service Provider)? A Static IP address does not change, it is provided by your ISP for a minimal extra charge.

This is a LAN address assigned by your router’s DHCP server. This is number you will use to access the DVR from any PC located on the same LAN as it.

    9.4.3.2 DHCP “DHCP” is automatically enabled as the default network setting of the DVR. When the DVR is connected to a network, it will broadcast DHCP request packets to a DHCP server. If a DHCP server is present on the network, it will issue an IP address to the DVR.

    1. Power off the DVR. 2. Connect the DVR directly to the ADSL modem (using RJ-45 Ethernet port). 3. Power-up the DVR. 4. DVR starts dialing. 5. Note: After 10 times of connection failure, it aborts the operation and you can reconnect it by LAN to find the cause.
