Chapter 4

:: First Things First

The first step in using the DHT7000 is to select one of the four basic functions. Do this by pressing the FUNCTION
button on the remote control or front panel repeatedly to select:

DVD Function
For watching movies on DVD or VCD or listening to music on CD or MP3-CD.

Tuner Function
For listening to the AM/FM receiver. Press the AM/FM button to switch between the AM and FM bands.

Video 1 Function
For listening to the audio signal from an external device (such as a VCR) connected to the rear VIDEO 1 IN jacks.

Video 2 Function
For listening to the audio signal from an external device (such as a cable box or satellite receiver) connected to the rear VIDEO 2 IN
jacks.
• You can also press the FUNCTION button on the front panel to
select DVD, AM/FM, Video 1 or Video 2.

:: Basic Disc Playback

Playing a DVD, CD or VCD

Follow these steps to play a DVD, CD or VCD disc:

Turn on the TV and make sure the TV's video input source is set to view the DVD system.

Press the POWER button on the remote control or front panel to wake up the DVD system from standby mode.

Press EJECT on the remote control or front panel to open the disc drawer.

Place the disc in the drawer with the label side facing up and playback side facing down. If the disc has two sides, place the disc
with the desired side facing up.
