Your PRO-2037 Programmable Scanner should require very little maintenance.
If you have problems, refer to this chart for possible solutions.
Problem
Scanner is totally
inoperative.
Poor or no
reception.
Error appears on
the display.
Keys do not work
or display changes
at random.
Scanner is on but
will not scan.
In the scan mode,
the scanner locks
on frequencies that
have an unclear
transmission.
If you cannot solve the problem, contact your local Radio Shack store for
assistance.

Probable Cause
The AC plug is not
properly connected.
The optional DC power
adapter is not
properly connected.
Improperly connected
antenna.
Poor reception.

Solution
Check to see that the
scanner is plugged into
a working AC outlet.
Check to be sure the
adapter is fully inserted
into the DC 13.8V jack.
Check to be sure the
antenna is properly
connected.
Move the scanner to a
location with a better
reception environment.
Reprogram the frequencies
correctly.
Avoid programming
frequencies listed under
"Birdies Frequencies" in "Operation,"
Faxback Doc. # 31133, or
only listen to them
manually.
Reprogram the frequencies
correctly.
Reset the scanner
Adjust the SQUELCH control
clockwise
Adjust the SQUELCH
control clockwise.
