  • How to drain a DeLonghi W Series air conditioner?

    To drain your air conditioner, follow these steps for forced draining:

    1. Attach the continuous drain hose and ensure it drains into a suitable container or drain (maximum height 1 m).
    2. Plug the appliance into the mains and set it to stand-by.
    3. Press and hold the ON/STAND-BY and MODE buttons for about 6-7 seconds. A beep will indicate the automatic procedure has begun, and a graphic sequence will be displayed.
    4. Wait for the procedure to end. The appliance will then reset to stand-by. The duration of this process depends on the quantity of water to be drained and could last more than an hour.

    To clean the silver ion and 3M® filters, which are located behind the dust filter, you must temporarily remove them and use a vacuum cleaner at medium power.

    To set up your air conditioner for operation:

    Air-conditioning without installation:

    2. Fit the window outlet to the end of the hose.
    3. Place the air conditioner near a window or French window.
    4. Adjust the length of the hose to reach the window.
    5. Ensure the air exhaust hose is unobstructed.

    7. If you have a double window, use the sucker provided to hold the two parts together.
    8. Alternatively, use the "adjustable bar" accessory by fitting the window outlet in the bar, positioning the bar on the window sill, adjusting it to fit the guides of the blind, and lowering the blind, then fitting the air hose to the end of the window outlet.
    9. Keep the air hose as short and free of curves as possible to avoid bottlenecks.

    Air-conditioning with installation (semi-permanently):

    1. Drill a 106 mm dia. hole in the wall, respecting heights shown in figures 10, 11, 12, and
    3. Fit the flange accessory provided in the hole.
    4. Fit the hose in the housing at the back of the appliance.
    5. Fit the end of the hose to the flange. The hole can be closed with the flange cap when the hose is not fitted.
    6. Keep the air hose as short and free of curves as possible to avoid bottlenecks.
    7. When installing semi-permanently, leave a door slightly open (as little as 1 cm) to guarantee correct ventilation.

    For heating or smart mode, the condensate drain hose must be attached:

    1. Fit the hose with the rapid coupling.
    2. Ensure the hose coupling is fully inserted into the connector for continuous drain function. To remove, press the connector flange.
    3. Place the other end of the hose in a suitable container (e.g., 5 litres) which must be emptied regularly, or outside the window (max. height 1 m).
