MAINTENANCE
The air cleaner should be serviced at regular intervals (page
73). Service more frequently when riding in unusually wet or
dusty areas.
1. Remove the seat (page 49).
2. Remove the parts in sequence, according to the order in
the illustration.
NOTE:
• Be careful not to break any tabs.
3. Remove and discard the air cleaner element.
4. Install a new air cleaner element.
5. Install removed parts in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE:
• Make sure to engage all tabs and to secure all fasteners.
CRANKCASE BREATHER
(Refer to the maintenance precaution on page 61.)
1. Remove the front left side cover.
2. Remove the drain plug from the tube and drain deposits.
3. Reinstall the drain plug.
NOTE:
• Service '!lore frequently when ridden in rain, at full throttle,
or after the motorcycle is washed or overturned. Service if
the deposit level can be seen in the transparent section of
the drain tube.
