1. Warranty
Blade replacement
To avoid severe personal injury, disconnect the spark plug cap to
! WARNING
prevent accidental starting, and wear heavy gloves to protect your
hands from the cutter blade.
Blade removal
Leave cutter disc on.
Disconnect spark plug lead.
•
Remove safety guard from right hand side of mower.
•
Drain carburettor (see Carburettor drainage, page 12).
•
Tilt mower onto the right hand side with carburettor facing up.
•
Holding cutter disc securely, loosen the cutter blade nuts and remove blade bolts and blades.
•
If, due to normal wear and usage, you are unable to undo cutter blade nuts take your
•
mower to your authorised Honda dealer for blade replacement.
NOTE:
Always replace blades in sets and use new bolts each time
the blades are replaced.
NOTE:
Never tilt the mower so the carburettor side is down, or
hard starting will result.
Use only genuine Honda replacement blades or
! WARNING
equivalent.
Blade installation
Refit the new blades to the cutter disc, making sure that all washers are located
•
correctly. Tighten nuts to 300-400kg/cm.
Lower mower back down onto flat surface and pull the recoil starter slowly several
•
times to ensure that the cylinder is free of oil prior to starting.
Connect spark plug head.
