GS-818 GPS/GSM/GPRS Vehicle Tracker User Manual Change User Name Generally, SMS command execution needs correct user name with password, or it will remain the same setting. The SMS command default user name is “username”. It can be changed by following the command format.

As above stated, each device has a unique IMEI number. Entering the SMS command as the following allows user to check the IMEI number of the device for network registration and tracking.

It is a network identifier used by a mobile device when connecting to a GSM carrier. The carrier will then examine this identifier to determine what type of network connection should be created.

GS-818 GPS/GSM/GPRS Vehicle Tracker User Manual Acquire the Report of Current Position When Auto Report function is enabled, the device will send Auto Report to specified route periodically. But user can send the SMS (SMS Polling) according to the example shown below to have the device send GPS data right away if needed. It will transmit current GPS data to the server or assigned route at once.

If you set up the command, the device will detect the direction of vehicle as reference direction and compare the vehicle traveled angle with it and trigger the report if it exceeds.

The ACC position uses the least amount of battery power when the engine is not running. GS-818 provides ACC status detection. It will send out a report when ignition is switched to ACC turns on or off. This command allows the user to define the ACC ON and ACC OFF detection time in order to trigger the event.

Doppler shift in the pseudo range signals from the satellites. GS-818 provides Over Speed Detection. User can also set up detection time for wrong Over Speed report prevention. It will send an Over Speed report when GPS data shows the speed is over the defined speed limit. This command allows the user to define the Over Speed detection time and speed limit in order to trigger the event.

GS-818 GPS/GSM/GPRS Vehicle Tracker User Manual Jamming Detection Generally, GPS jammer (signal blocker) is illegal radio frequency transmitter that is designed to block, jam, or interfere with authorized radio communications. Jamming technology generally does not identify desirable and undesirable communications. A jammer can block all radio communications on any device that operates on radio frequencies within its range by emitting radio frequency waves that interfere with the targeted device communications.
