Chapter 4 ZyXEL Utility

4.3.1 WEP Key Settings

This screen allows you to configure WEP encryption for a profile. Click the
Settings > WEP Encryption button to open it.

Key Value 1 ~ 4 Enter the required key for this profile's encryption scheme. The key you

Select an encryption key length. Options are 64bit and 128bit. The bit
size means the cipher is larger and (generally) more difficult to crack.
Use the key length that is compatible with the network you want to join.
Select either Hexadecimal or ASCII, depending on the requirements
of the network you want to join.
A hexidecimal key must be exactly 10 digits for a 64-bit key and exactly
26 digits for a 128-bit key.
An ASCII key must be exactly 5 alphanumeric characters for a 64-bit
key and exactly 13 alphanumeric characters for a 128-bit key.
Select the key ID that will be used first whenever you connect to the
network associated with this profile. The other key IDs are used in order
in the event the default key ID fails.

Key Format.
