C SWITCH ON
10 Set the temperature control to •.
11 Put the plug into the power socket.
12 Press the b button. The b light will glow.
13 Press the d button. The d light will glow.
14 When the boiler is ready to generate steam (2-3 minutes), the S light will glow.
15 It will then cycle on and off as the thermostat operates to maintain the temperature.
16 Turn the temperature control to bring the setting you want (see the guide below) next to the
1 mark.
17 The thermostat light will glow.
18 When the iron reaches the set temperature, the thermostat light will go off.
19 It will then cycle on and off as the thermostat operates to maintain the temperature.
20 Initialize the iron.
C INITIALIZATION
21 Initialize the iron after filling the reservoir, to get water and steam through the system.
22 Hold the iron below the base unit, and press the steam button, on top of the iron.
23 Initially, the pump will be noisy. When it quietens, steam will come out of the soleplate.
24 The iron is now initialized and ready for use.
i SHOT OF STEAM
25 Press the steam button to produce steam, release it to stop the steam.
h STEAM IRONING
26 For a constant stream of steam, press the steam button, then slide the latch (on the rear of
the button) back, towards the rear of the iron, to lock the button down.
27 Slide the latch forward, to unlock it, and revert to normal use.
l VERTICAL STEAMING
28 Remove wrinkles from hanging clothes, hanging curtains, and furnishing fabrics.
29 Check that there is adequate ventilation behind the fabric, otherwise moisture may build up,
causing mildew.
30 Check that there is nothing behind the fabric that may be damaged by the steam.
31 Check that pockets, turn-ups, and cuffs are empty.
32 Set the temperature control to max.
33 Lift the iron off the fabric.
34 Press the steam button to produce steam, release it to stop the steam.
n DRY IRONING
35 You can dry iron by just not pressing the steam button, but if you want to make sure you
don't press it accidentally, then you should iron with an empty reservoir.
36 Do your dry ironing first, then switch off, fill the reservoir, and do your steam ironing.
e LOW WATER
37 When the water level gets low, the e light will flash.
38 Switch off, unplug, fill, and initialize.
C AFTER USE
39 Sit the iron on the base unit.
40 Set the temperature control to •.
41 Press the b button. The b light will go off.
42 Press the d button. The d light will go off.
43 Unplug the appliance.
