Method 3. (For heat-only or heat/cool
systems.)
NOTE
This installation requires an
additional wire that will run
between the W and C terminals
on the furnace low voltage
terminal block.
1. Disconnect 120v AC power from
system.
2. Attach a wire to terminal C on the
furnace low voltage terminal block.
Attach the wire's other end to the
resistor using a wire nut connector.
Attach the resistor to the W terminal
on the furnace low voltage terminal
block (see fig. 10). Do not allow the
resistor or wire to come into contact
with any other furnace components.
3. Restore power to the system.
4. Test thermostat and system opera-
tion (see TESTING YOUR
THERMOSTAT).
