    Sometimes the first error to occur causes additional errors. In this case, the server displays more than one error message. Always follow the suggested action instructions for the first error message that appears. The following sections contain the error codes that might appear in the detailed test log and summary log when running the diagnostic programs.

    CAUTION: When replacing the battery, use only IBM Part Number 33F8354 or an equivalent type battery recommended by the manufacturer. If your system has a module containing a lithium battery, replace it only with the same module type made by the same manufacturer.

This module comes with the Remote Supervisor Adapter option. For detailed instructions about installing the ASM Interconnect module on servers with ASM processors and ASM PCI adapters, see the documentation that comes with those devices.

    In the following example, a Remote Supervisor Adapter is installed in an xSeries 330 server. The xSeries 330 server with the Remote Supervisor Adapter will act as the gateway interconnect network, forwarding system-management data generated by the other systems in the ASM interconnect network bus to the system-management administration system that is connected to the network.
