ENGINE OIL

Engine Oil Level Check
Check engine oil level each day before operating the motorcycle.
To Check the Oil Level:
1. Remove the right engine side cover (page
2. Start the engine and let it idle for 3 5 minutes.
3. Stop the engine and hold the motorcycle in an upright position on a firm,
level ground.
4. After 2 3 minutes, remove the oil fill cap/dipstick, wipe it clean, and
reinsert the oil fill cap/dipstick without screwing it in. Remove the oil fill
cap/dipstick. The oil level should be between the upper and lower level
marks on the oil fill cap/dipstick.
5. If required, add the specified oil up to the upper level mark. Do not overfill.
6. Reinstall the oil fill cap/dipstick, and the right engine side cover.
Running the engine with insufficient oil can cause serious engine damage.
