7. Repeat Steps 5 and 6 for the second Y-cable connector.
8. Insert the single connector end into the LTO drive.
9. Repeat Steps 1 through 8 for all drives in Column 0.
10. Close the rear door(s).
Optional Drive Column 1 Connectors
Note: This section applies to the 20/700 tape library only.
1. Locate and open the small access door (located on the frame member between the two
drive columns) for the Column 1 drive connectors by turning the five snap rings
counterclockwise.
a. Turn the five 1/4-turn fasteners counterclockwise to open the small access door.
2. Install the LTO drives. See the instructions for the standard drive column, if necessary.
3. Install the SCSI Y-cable(s) connectors at the bulkhead. See the instructions for the
standard drive column, if necessary.
4. Insert the remaining Y-cable connector into the SCSI connector on the LTO drive(s).
5. When all connectors are in place, close and lock the small access door.
