4. PRECAUTION
(c) Registering a port used by the program as an exception.
To register a port used by the program as an exception, follow the procedure below.
After this procedure, network connections through the port registered as an exception are
not blocked anymore.
1. If you are not logged on to the computer as an administrator, log on to the computer as
an administrator.
2. Click Start and then click Control Panel.
3. The Control Panel window opens. Click System and Security.
4. The System and Security window opens.
・Click Windows Firewall.
5. The Windows Firewall window opens.
Click Advanced settings.
6. The Windows Firewall with Advanced Security window is displayed.
・Click Inbound Rules or Outbound Rules.
・In the Actions pane, click New Rule.
Note: Select either Inbound Rules or Outbound Rules based on how the port is used.
From this point on, we assume that Inbound Rules is selected.
7. The New Rule window of the New Inbound Rule Wizard is displayed.
・Choose Port and click Next.
