At normal operating temperature (approximately
20 miles [32 km] of vehicle operation), the level
on the dipstick should be within the specified
area on the "Safe level when hot" temperature
scale. At room temperature, the level should be
within the specified area on the "Safe level when
cold" temperature scale. If your vehicle has not
been operated for some time and outside
temperature is below 50˚F (10˚C) the fluid must
be warmed by running the engine.
