Access Your Wi-Fi Name and Password
Your default Wi-Fi name and password can be
found on the MiFi display upon initial power up.
To access your Wi-Fi name and password after
the initial power up or a device reset:
1. If your MiFi 500 is not powered on, press
and hold the Power button on the front of the
device until the display lights up.
2. Press OK to select Menu and display the
Menu screen.
3. Use the navigation buttons to scroll to the
Wi-Fi option and press OK to select More
and display the Wi-Fi screen.
4. Press OK to select More and display your
Wi-Fi name and password.
Connect to Your MiFi 500
With your Wi-Fi name and password ready, you
can now connect your Wi-Fi enabled devices to
your MiFi 500.
Note: If your device is WPS enabled, see WPS in the
comprehensive User Guide for details on setting up
WPS on your MiFi 500.
1. Turn on your MiFi 500 and your Wi-Fi enabled
device.
2. Open the Wi-Fi application or controls on the
computer or Wi-Fi enabled device that you
want to connect to your MiFi 500 and find the
Wi-Fi name.
3. When prompted, enter your Wi-Fi password.
4. Your Wi-Fi enabled device is now connected
to the Internet. You can view or change MiFi
settings by connecting to the MiFi web user
interface at http://sprinthotspot or
http://192. 1 68. 1 . 1 .
