The SECURITY SET PASSWORD command requests a transfer of a single sector of data from the host. The
following table defines the content of this sector of information. The data transferred controls the function of this
command. The revision code field is returned in the IDENTIFY DEVICE Word 92. The valid revision codes are
0000h to FFFDh. The initial factory shipped value of Master Password Revision code is FFFEh. Value FFFFh is
revised.

The password supplied with the command is saved as the new user
password. The lock function will be enabled from the next power-on or
hardware reset. The device will then be unlocked by either the user
password or the previously set master password.
