This document describes Toshiba Samsung Storage Technology Corporation (hereafter the "TSST")
DVD Writable drive TS-L532A (SD-R6472).
2. Features
This drive supports the following:
read of copy-protected DVD discs (DVD Contents Scramble Systems discs.)
read of CD-ROM, CD audio, DVD-ROM, and DVD-RAM discs.
read of and write to DVD-R/-RW, DVD+R/+RW and CD-R/-RW discs.
read of DVD-ROM discs at 8X maximum.
read of DVD-R/+R discs at 8X maximum.
read of DVD+R Double Layer discs at 3.6X maximum.
read of DVD-RW/+RW discs at 6X maximum.
read of 4.38 GB DVD-RAM at 2X (relative to DVD-ROM standard read speed.)
read of CD-DA discs at 6X maximum.
read of CD-ROM discs at 24X maximum.
read of CD-R discs at 24X maximum.
read of CD-RW discs at 24X maximum.
write to CD-R discs at 4X, 8X, 16X and 24X.
write to CD-RW discs at 4X.
write to High-Speed CD-RW discs at 4X and 10X.
write to Ultra-Speed CD-RW discs at 10X.
write to DVD-R discs at 2X, 4X and 8X.

This drive is equipped with a function that prevents Buffer Underrun Error during writing.
This drive offers high durability, since read and write functions are performed by a laser, which has no
contact with the discs.
This drive supports SFF-8020i with ATAPI, SFF-8090 Ver.5 (Mt. Fuji5), which specifies DVD commands; and
MMC, which specifies CD-R and CD-RW commands.
This is a high-performance drive with an MTBF of 60,000 hours (unofficial record).
This drive adopts RPC-II for its "Standard Specification Model".
