ofgas.Cleanburners prior to useafter
storing,at thebeginning ofgrilling s eason
oraftera period ofonemonth notbeing used.
Spiderguardsareontheairintakes in an effort t o
reduce thisproblem,butitwillnoteliminate i t! An
obstruction can result i na '_lashback" (a fire inthe
burnertubes). T hegrill m aystilllight, b uttheobstruction
doesnotallowfullgasflowtotheburners.
IF YOUEXPERIENCE THEFOLLOWING:
1. Smellgas.
2. Burner(s) w illnot light.
3. Asmall yellowflamefromburner(shouldbe blue).
4. Firecomingfrom aroundorbehindcontrol knob.
STOP!
Immediately turn off gas at LP cylinded.
SOLUTION:
Waitfor grillto cool.
Follow the "Cleaning theBumerAssembljY instructions.
Cleanburners often.Usea 12"pipecleaner t o cleanout
theburner t ubes. Y oumayalsoforcea stream ofwater
froma hosenozzle through burner t ubes tocleanthem.
Storing Your Grill
• Cleancooking g rates.
• Sterein drylocation.
• WhenLPcylinder isconnected togrill, s toreoutdoors i na well-
ver_lated spaceandoutofreach of children.
• Covergrill i fstored outdoors. Choose froma variety ofgdll
covers offered bymanufacfurar.

disconnected, removed _om grillandstored outdoors.

Cleaningthe Burner Assembly
Follow theseinstructions tocleanand/or replace parts of burner
assembly o rifyouhavetrouble igniting grill.
1. Turngasoff at controlknobsand LPcylinder.
2, Remove cookinggrates andflametamers,
3, Remove screws andcarryover t ubesfrom rearof burners,

Remove screw andwashers todisengage bumerfrom
bracket o nfirebox.
5. Remove screws todetach electrode f rom burner. E lectrode
should remain infirebox.
6. Carefully l ifteachburner upandawayfromvalveopenings.
Wesuggest threewaysto clean the burner t ubes. U setheone
easiest f or you.
(A) Bend a stiffwire(a light w eight c oat hanger w orks well)
into a smallhook.Runthehookthrough eachbumer
tubeseveral t imes.
(B) Usea narrow bottle brush witha fle)dblehandle (donot
usea brass wirebrush), r unthebrush througheach
burner t ubeseveral t imes.
(C) Weareye protection: Useanairhose to forceairinto
the burner t ubeandouttheburner ports. Check each
porttomakesureaircomes outeachhole.
7. Wirebrush entire outer surface ofburner t e remove food
residue anddirt.
8. Clean anyblocked portswitha stiff wiresuchasanopen
paper clip.
9. Checkburner f or damage, d ueto normal wearandcorrosion
some holes maybecome enlarged. I fanylargecracks or_
holes arefoundreplace bumer.
VERYIMPORTANT: B urnertubesmustreengage valve _.
