CAUTION
If ignition does NOT occur in 5 seconds, turn the
burner controls OFF, wait 5 minutes and repeat the
lighting procedure. If the burner does not ignite with
the valve open, gas will con6nue to flow out of the
burner and could acddently ignite with risk of injury.
Match-Lighting
• Do notleanovergrillwhilelighting.
1. Openlid.Turn ongasat LP cylinder,
2. Placelitmatch intomatch holder (hanging f rom cartside
panel), t henintolighting h oleonright orleftsideofgrill.
3. Pushinand tom farright orfar leftburner knob to HIGH_j_.
Besurebumer lights andstayslit.
4. Light a djacent burners in sequence bypushing knobs in and
turning toHIGH(_j_.
Sidebumer Ignitor Lighting
Donot leanovergrillwhilelighting.

Burner Flame Check
• Remove cooking g _atas andflametamers. L ight b umers, rotate
knobs from HIGH_ to LOW_. Youshould seea smaller
flamein LOWpositionthanseenonHIGH.Performburner
flamecheckon sideburner, a lso.Alwayscheckflamepriorto
eachuse. If onlylowflameisseen referto "Sudden dropor low
flame"in the Troubleshooting S ection.
Turning Grill Off
• Turnallknobsto OFF_) position.TurnLPcylinder offby
turning hand-wheel clockwise t o a full stop.
Ignitor Check
• Turngasoff at LP cylinder.Press andhold elec_onic ignitor
button. " Click"should beheardandspark seeneachtime
between collectorboxorburner a ndelectrode. See
"Troubleshooting" if no click or spark.
Valve Check
• Important: M akesuregas isoff at LP cylinderbefore
checldng valves. Knobslockin OFF position. Tocheck
valves, f irstpushinknobs andrelease,knobs should spring
back.If knobsdonotspring back,replacevalve assembly
before using gdll.Turnknobs to LOWpositionthentom backto
OFF position. Valvesshouldtom smoothly.
Hose Check
• Before eachuse,check to seeif hosesarecutorworn.
Replace damagedhoses before usinggdll.Use only
valve/hosekegulator
spedfied bymanufacturer.
General Grill Cleaning
• Do notmistake brown orblack accumulation ofgrease and
smoke for paint. Intehors o fgasgdlls arenotpainted atthe
factory(andshouldneverbe painted). A pplya strong solution
ofdetergent andwater or usea grill c leaner w ithscrub brush
oninsides ofgrilllidandbottom. Rinse andallow tocompletely
airdry.Donotapplya caus_cgrillloven cleanerto painted
surfaces.
• Plasticparts:Washwithwarmsoapy waterand wipedry.
• Donot usecitrisol, abrasive deaners,degreasers or a
concentrated grillcleaner o nplasSc parts. D amagetoand
failureofparts canresult.
• Porcelain surfaces:Because ofglass-like c omposigon, most
residue canbewiped awaywithbaking sodahvatar s olu_on or
specially f ormulatedcleaner, Usenonabrasive scoudng powder
for stubbom stains.
• Paintedsurfaces: W ashwithmilddetergentor nonabrasive
cleaner a ndwarmsoapy water. W ipedrywitha soft
nonabrasive cloth.
• Stainlesssteelsurfaces: T omaintainyourgrill's highquality
appearance, washwithmild detergent andwarmsoapywater
andwipedrywitha softcloth aftereachuse.Baked-on grease
deposits m ayrequiretheuseofanabrasive plasSc cleaning
pad.Useonlyindirection o f brushed f inish toavoid damage.
Donot useabrasive padonareaswithgraphics.
