Howto ClearBlockagesin Hose
CAUTION: T urn off the switch and unplug the electricalcordbefore
periodicmaintenance.
Step 1: Firmlypuii the end of the hosefrom the hoseretaineron the
hoodof the vacuum(FIG.30).
Step 2: Checkfor blockagesin the hoseand hoseretainer.Flexingthe
hosemay help loosenany blockage,if no blockage is found,
continueto step 4. If blockageis found, clearthe blockageand
replacethe hosein the hoseretainer,if the blockageis in the
hose retainer and cannotbe cleared,continueto step 3.
Step 3: Removethe hood from the cleanerand checkfor a blockagein
the brushrollarea (FIG.31). Makesure the hoseinletis clear.
if no blockage is found, continueto step 4. After the blockage
isfound and cleared,replacethe hood on the cleaner.
Step 4: Twist the hosefrom the couplingelbow on the back of cleaner.
Checkfor blockagesat cleaneropeningand in hose(FIG.32). If a
blockageisfound, clearthe blockage.Thescrew attachingthe
clear hoseadaptercan be removedfor better accessto a
blockage.
Step 5: Screw the hoseback onto the back of the cleanerand replace
the otherend of the hoseintothe hoseretaineron the hood of
vacuum.
